Everything from the new born to toddler at Logan-Ray

Logan-Ray Collection, owned and operated by Brad and Kaylene Blackburn, will debut in the Country Lifestyle pavilion this year with a range of quality and affordable baby products.

Whilst being the owners of Cotmakers in Wagga Wagga for 14 years, the couple launched Logan-Ray Collection in 2021, naming the business after their great nephew.

“With extensive product knowledge of the baby industry, we have put together a collection of our favourite and most popular baby products to carry the Logan-Ray name into the future,” Kaylene said.

“Initially the collection was sold as an exclusive range within Cotmakers, not only instore, but online as well, however when the business was sold last November, we could see a wonderful opportunity to offer the products to a greater audience.

“Logan-Ray is now proudly available in eight baby stores throughout regional NSW and Victoria with a growing clientele after launching its own website and social media sites in April.

“Our range offers many high quality and well-priced essential baby products.”

An example of the quality is the popular baby swaddles made from 70 per cent bamboo and 30 per cent cotton muslin available in a selection of 18 beautiful printed and plain colours.

“Our own Logan-Ray hairbows are just gorgeous and suitable from birth to three years, and available in a variety of 22 colours – there is something for everyone to choose from,” Kaylene said.

“Our beautiful and practical silicone range of products are available in feeding ware, an assortment of teething products, pacifier holders and dummy chains, making this a large part of our collection.

“We are constantly adding the latest of baby products as our range increases and are always listening to our customers feedback for any ideas of new products that we could add.

“We have been looking for a platform to showcase the Logan-Ray Collection to a wider audience and feel partnering with the Henty Machinery Field Days is the perfect place for us to start.”

The couple had worked in merchandising prior to taking on Cotmakers and operated the Wagga business for 14 years, focusing on customer service, product knowledge and matching the right product with the customer.

“We made the transition from physical to online sales and it has opened a whole new market for us,” Brad said.

“It is the way a lot of the young parents and grandparents like to shop these days – we underestimated the power of social media for selling baby products for a long time.

“Our market isn’t necessarily city dwellers but those living in rural and remote regions relying on the quality of the product being what is listed on the social media or website photo.

“The benefit of Henty is being able to showcase the quality of our products.”

It has been many years since Kaylene visited Henty and she had a wish to take her late father, stock agent Stan Michael.

“I’m a city dweller but I was fascinated with the magnificence of the huge machinery – it was a whole new world. We spent all day saying hello to people last time we went,” Brad said.

Kaylene said soft muted colours are the trend for this spring along with floral and abstract wraps made from bamboo and cotton fabric.

“We will have natural goats hair brushes with wooden handles, stretch nylon hair bows from birth to three years, soft knit rainbow blankets, newborn knitted bonnets, locally made milestone cards for new mums and gift boxes.

“There will also be a range of quality raincoats and gumboots for toddlers up to the age of four, and clothing, including smock dresses.”
